And that just about completes my Review of the Season. But I must finish with an enormous “Thank You” to all second eleven Scorers for submitting their scorecards to Cricket Archive so promptly, allowing the start of work on the Annual to begin as planned but please take note of my request, made in last year’s annual in the Introduction, re the use of substitute scorers for second eleven matches and New Player forms. I will not be seeing any of you in 2018 as Yorkshire CCC have decided to dispense with my services as second eleven scorer, retiring me on medical grounds. I was devastated to say the least as I felt it was the best job in the world so not sure how I am going to spend the summer months.
