The Editor provided all necessary information for Yorkshire and compiled the Biographies of the MCC Universities’ players. My thanks go also to John Anderson and all at City Press for the type-setting and printing. The sharp-eyed amongst you will have noticed that there is no Second Eleven Player of the Year announced for 2017. This is due to circumstances utterly beyond the control of all connected to the publication. So the front cover shows a shot from the Gloucestershire v Glamorgan Second Eleven game at Bedminster CC and my grateful thanks go to Andrew Hignell of Glamorgan CCC for its provision. I must also thank Keith Gerrish (Gloucestershire) and Ian Smith (Cricket Archive) who have also helped with checking biographies and adding information from extensive work on Ancestry .co.uk .
