It was Australia’s highest against Pakistan (previously 334* by M.A.Taylor at Peshawar in 1998/99). Warner passed 9,000 runs in first- class matches when he reached 2. S.P.D.Smith passed 7,000 runs in Test matches when he reached 23. The 361 added by Warner and M.Labuschagne was a new record for the Australian 2nd wicket against Pakistan (previously 279 by M.A.Taylor and J.L.Langer at Peshawar in 1998/99). The 105 added by Babar Azam and Yasir Shah was a new record for the Pakistani 7th wicket against Australia (previously 104 by Intikhab Alam and Wasim Bari at Adelaide in 1972/73). Yasir Shah’s 113 was his first first-class century.
