It takes account of the one-off Test between Bangladesh and Afghanistan played at Chittagong in 5-9 September 2019, although this match is categorized as belonging to the 2019/20 season. ICC World Test Championship 2019-21 The ICC World Test Championship 2019-21 will be contested by the nine top-ranked Test nations. Each team will play six rubbers – three at home and three away – that will count towards the Championship table, with a total of 120 points available from each rubber (regardless of its length, which may be anything from two to five Tests). Any additional rubbers arranged bilaterally during this period will not count towards the Championship. The points for each rubber are distributed according to the number of wins and draws each team achieves, with a draw counting as one-third of a win (and a tie, should one occur, as half a win). Points may be deducted for slow over-rates. The two top-placed sides in the final table will play a one-off Test at Lord’s in June 2021 to decide the eventual Champion.
