Naveen-ul-Haq’s first-innings figures of 8-35 for Kabul were the best in any first-class match in Afghanistan (previously 8-76 by Abdul Baqi for Boost v Amo at Ghazi Amanullah Khan Town in 2017/18). Naveen became the first since 1964/65 (Afaq Khan for Railways v Dera Ismail Khan at Lahore) to dismiss 7 batsmen bowled in the same innings. Afsar Zazai claimed 5 dismissals (4ct, 1st) in Kabul’s first innings, and 6 in the match, to equal the current records for the most dismissals by a wicketkeeper in an innings and match in Afghanistan. This was a new first-class ground.
