Mehedi’s match return of 12-117 was a new Test record for Bangladesh, beating his own figures of 12-159 v England at Mirpur in 2016/17. The previous best for Bangladesh v Zimbabwe was 9-219 by Sohag Gazi at Mirpur in 2012/13. Mahmudullah’s 136 was the highest score for Bangladesh v West Indies (previously 128 by Tamim Iqbal at Kingstown in 2009). 111 was West Indies’ lowest-ever total v Bangladesh (previously 129 at Kingston in July 2018). The 42 added by K.A.J.Roach and S.H.Lewis was a new record for the 10th West Indies wicket against Bangladesh (previously 35 by J.O.Holder and S.T.Gabriel at Kingston in 2018). In their 112th Test, this was Bangladesh’s first-ever win by an innings.
