H.Masakadza retired hurt in the Zimbabwe second innings having scored 7 (team score 8-0) - he returned when the score was 80-5. This was the first Test since 1972/73 to be scheduled for only four days, although in the event it was all over in two. Q.de Kock was selected as wicketkeeper but was injured whilst batting so A.B.de Villiers kept throughout.
