ACS Overseas First-Class Annual 2017

Errata and Corrigenda ACS Overseas First-Class Annual 2016 93 The Ranji Trophy tables were wrongly headed ‘2014/15’ instead of 2015/16. More seriously, the tables indicate that ‘Quotient’ was used as the tie-break mechanism for Ranji sides that were equal in terms of points and wins. This is incorrect: in fact, with effect from 2015/16 the Trophy switched to ‘Net run rate’ for this purpose. This means that the tabulation on page 9 is also incorrect. The change means that Madhya Pradesh should have been shown ahead of Gujarat in Group B, and therefore as qualifying for the knockout stages (not as stated in the narrative on page 92). For the correct Ranji tables for 2015/16, please see page 933 of Wisden 2017. 176 This match was played at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, not the Bandra Kurla Complex as stated. 258 In the introduction to the Pakistan section it was stated that Sui Northern Gas Pipelines were winners of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy ‘for the previous three seasons’. This was incorrect. They had won it the previous season (2014/15) but in the two seasons before that (2012/13 and 2013/14) they had won a different first-class competition, the President’s Trophy. 262 Abid Ali in the Islamabad team was not on first-class debut as stated. In fact he is identical to the cricketer of this name that had appeared since 2007/08 for various Pakistan sides, most recently for State Bank of Pakistan in 2014/15. 364 The note refers to B.E.Hendricks as a full substitute for Cape Cobras but the scorecard omits him from the Cobras’ team. He should be placed, indented and in italics, immediately after D.Paterson (whom he replaced). He batted in 9th place in the Cobras second innings and was b Budaza 27 (28 balls, 35 mins, 6x4, 0x6). Moreki and Williams batted 10th and 11th as shown. 495 It was overlooked last year that the 46 sixes struck in this game set a new record for any first-class match. A note should have been added to this effect. 526 In Jamaica’s second innings, S.E.Thomas was c Carter, not c Brathwaite as shown. 664
