ACS Overseas First-Class Annual 2017

The Inter-Provincial Championship was inaugurated in 2013, with matches played over three days on a home-and-away basis. Leinster has dominated the Championship, winning it in each of its four years as a non-first-class event. This record was fully maintained in 2017 as Leinster claimed victories in the only two games to reach a result in the six-match Championship. In the Championship's first year as a first-class event, the batting aggregates were headed by James Shannon of Northern with 446 runs at 74.33. But it was the champions Leinster that provided the highest wicket-taker in the shape of slow left-armer George Dockrell, who was far ahead of the field with 22 victims at an average of only 13.09.
