The match scorecards are generated by CricketArchive (www.cricketarchive.com ), whose ever-expanding on-line database now accounts for over two-thirds of a million cricket matches at all levels of the game, from all parts of the world and from the eighteenth century to the twenty-first. Pete Griffiths and Philip Bailey of CricketArchive have, as always, been tireless in their support of the Annual , responding promptly and thoroughly to the queries thrown up during the production process. Pete also undertook the taxing and highly specialized task of typesetting over 550 match scorecards. My special thanks also go to Keith Walmsley, Ric Finlay and John Ward, who shared with me the onerous task of checking hundreds of scorecards not only to identify any errors or omissions but also to point out notable occurrences and achievements. Keith, Ric and John were a reliable source of vital information, valuable suggestions and helpful advice throughout the process, and in addition Keith contributed the narrative introductions to several sections of the book.
