Toss: Pakistan Close of Play: 1st day: Pakistan (1) 304-2 (Azhar Ali 101, Younis Khan 111, 88 overs); 2nd day: Australia (1) 22-1 (Warner 16, Lyon 1, 5.2 overs); 3rd day: Pakistan (2) 61-2 (Azhar Ali 21, Younis Khan 16, 21 overs); 4th day: Australia (2) 143-4 (Smith 38, Marsh 26, 48 overs). Man of the Match: Misbah-ul-Haq. Younis Khan passed 8,000 runs in Test matches when he reached 181 in the first innings. P.M.Siddle passed 2,000 runs in first-class matches when he reached 22 in the first innings. Two batsmen, Azhar Ali and Misbah-ul-Haq, scored twin centuries in this match: this was the fourth occasion on which two batsman had performed the feat in the same Test (see page 24 for the fifth occasion) and only the second time it has been achieved by two batsmen on the same team. Misbah's second century came off only 56 balls, equalling the Test record set by I.V.A.Richards for West Indies v England at St. John's in 1985/86; for Pakistan the previous record was 74 by Majid Khan against New Zealand at Karachi in 1976/77. Misbah reach his fifty off only 21 balls, a new Test record (previously 24 by J.H.Kallis for South Africa v Zimbabwe at Cape Town in 2004/05). 602 United Arab Emirates in 2014/15
