Acknowledgments This book stands to my name as editor but in reality it is the product of many hands. The match scorecards are derived from CricketArchive ( www.cricketarchive.com) , a remarkable on-line resource that contains records of over a quarter of a million matches and much other material besides. Pete Griffiths and Philip Bailey have generously allowed free use of this information, without which the annual would not be possible. Both Pete and Philip offered valuable advice and dealt patiently with countless queries, while Pete also typeset the whole book.
