For the winners there were 10 fours in Riches’ unbeaten 116; his century took 1 hour and 50 minutes and was chanceless. He added 142 for the second wicket with Sweet- Escott. Hacker took ten wickets for 80 runs in the match, including 7 for 45 in the Surrey first innings. Creber took 6 wickets for 50 runs in the Surrey second innings, bowling unchanged. For Surrey Goatly top-scored with 43 whilst Myers took 4 wickets in the Glamorgan first innings.
