In June at Jesmond Durham had won by an innings. For the winners there were 1 six and 5 fours in Stanger-Leathes’ 50 and 7 fours in Stephenson’s 59. Skinner took 9 wickets for 104 runs in the match, including 6 for 38 runs in the Durham first innings. For Durham there were 4 fours in Maynard’s 54, 14 fours in Dales’ 79, and Adamson scored an unbeaten 60. Maynard and Dales added 100 for the third wicket.
