Cornwall had won the encounter between the two sides at Penzance in July. For the winners there were 10 fours in Fulcher’s 109, his century coming in 3 hours 30 minutes, and 7 fours in Reed’s 61. Fulcher and Reed put on 101 runs for the first wicket. Light took 6 wickets for 45 runs in the Cornwall first innings. Davies made 4 stumpings in the match. For Cornwall Holman scored 100 with 1 six and 7 fours and added 50 runs for the last wicket with Williams.
