Berkshire were bowled out in their first innings for just 46 in only 65 minutes. For the winners Morgan top-scored with 41. Whiting took 13 wickets for 79 runs in the match, including 8 for 25 in the Berkshire first innings and 5 for 54 in the second; he and Williams bowled unchanged throughout the Berkshire first innings. Vibart made 3 dismissals in the match whilst Gilpin and W N Bickford-Smith both took 3 catches. For Berkshire Norris top-scored with 42. Bailey took 5 wickets for 22 runs in the Cornwall first innings and Hawksworth took 5 wickets for 42 runs in the second. Shoosmith took 4 catches in the Cornwall second innings, that off Gilpin being “brilliant in the extreme”, and 5 in the match.
