For the winners Tresawna scored 61; having opened the batting in the Cornwall second innings he was the last man out. He added 28 for the last wicket with Whiting, a partnership which proved crucial to Cornwall’s victory. Whiting also took 13 wickets for 94 runs in the match, including 7 for 51 in the Devon first innings and 6 for 43 in the second. Vibart took 3 catches in the match. For Devon Reed top scored with 36 whilst debutant Jennings was dismissed for a golden duck in his first innings for his county. Sturt took 5 wickets for 39 runs in the Cornwall first innings and Fishwick took 5 wickets for 35 runs in the second innings.
