For Bedfordshire in their first innings Apthorp top-scored with 66, which included 1 six and 9 fours, and with Grierson added 51 runs for the tenth wicket. Graham scored 54. In the Bedfordshire second innings Gutteridge and Apthorp added 57 runs for the seventh wicket. R H King took 6 wickets for 81 runs in the Suffolk first innings and W E King 5 for 35 in the second. For Suffolk in their first innings Paffard scored 57 and Penfold top-scored with 84 runs including 12 fours and, with the debutant Alderwick, added 82 runs for the seventh wicket. Penfold also took 11 wickets in the match for 190 runs, including 7 for 109 in the Bedfordshire first innings. Scorecards show P S Trevor but this is thought to be E E G Alderwick playing under a different name.
