Durham declared at 12.55 pm on the second day, leaving Glamorgan to score 230 to avoid an innings defeat. For the home side there were 12 fours in Hendren’s 81, an innings of 65 minutes, 9 fours in Dales’s 98, an innings of 150 minutes, and 7 fours in Harry’s 85. Hendren and Kinch added 103 for the second wicket and Dales and Harry added 176 for the fifth wicket. Morris had figures of 9 wickets for 170 runs in the match, including 5 for 69 in the Glamorgan first innings. For Glamorgan there were 10 fours in Riches’s 66. In their second innings Riches scored 68, Tait 93 with 1 six and 7 fours and Jones made an unbeaten 50. Riches and Tait added 108 in 90 minutes for the Glamorgan third wicket in their second innings and Jones and Morgan shared an unbroken partnership for the eighth wicket of 65 runs.
