The match between the two teams at Bromley in July had been won by Glamorgan by 9 wickets. Rain prevented the match starting until 1.40 pm on the first day. For the winners Riches scored 71. He added 73 for the 8th wicket with Williams and was last out. Creber, who bowled unchanged throughout, had match figures of 11 wickets for 99 runs, including 6 for 51 in Kent’s first innings and 5 for 48 in their second. For the losers Troughton top-scored with 45 and Weigall made an unbeaten 41. Freeman had match figures of 10 wickets for 105 runs, including 5 for 42 in Glamorgan’s first innings and 5 for 63 in their second. Preston took 5 wickets for 54 in Glamorgan’s first innings.
