The match between the two sides at West Hartlepool in June was drawn. The Lincolnshire declaration left Durham an hour and 5 minutes to score 140 runs to win but the game ended after 45 minutes with the score at 39-3 wickets. For Durham Hendren scored 140 runs which contained 14 fours and was scored in 190 minutes. Maynard scored 73. The two added 108 runs for the seventh wicket in the first innings.
