There was a brief break for rain on the second day which adversely affected the wicket. For the winners there were 11 fours in Harrison’s 108, an innings of 2 hours and 20 minutes, 7 fours in Hendren’s 75 and 9 fours in Kinch’s 56. Hendren and Kinch added 101 for the second wicket in 65 minutes. Morris took 8 wickets for 39 runs in Cheshire’s second innings and had match figures of 11 for 88. Common took 3 catches in Cheshire’s second innings. For the losers Holland top-scored with 28 and Tipping made 3 dismissals.
