For the losers, K G Reid scored 58 and Pigg 50. In the Cambridgeshire second innings K G Reid and Whybro added 72 runs for the eighth wicket. At the start of the Cambridgeshire first innings when the score was 3 without loss, Worsley was hit on the knee by a fast ball bowled by Morcom. He was forced to retire and played no further part in the match.
