Field, the debutant, scored 103 with 1 six and 14 fours, an innings of two and a half hours. E A Shaw scored 76 with 13 fours, B H G Shaw 65 with 6 fours, de Rothschild 59 with 7 fours, and Sewell 57 with 9 fours.
