For Durham Morris took 5 wickets for 48 in Cheshire’s first innings and 5 wickets for 17 in the second innings to finish with match figures of 10 for 65; 8 of his victims were bowled. Harrison made 86 before retiring hurt having been hit on the hand by a ball from Barker; this was the only half century of the match. For Cheshire Hunter took 5 wickets for 51 in Durham’s second innings.
