The fixture list reduced as Carmarthenshire had dropped out of the Championship. The match due to be played at High Wycombe against Buckinghamshire was abandoned without a ball bowled. George Bennett headed the batting averages with 402 runs at 33.50. Only William Woodburn and John Denning scored over 200 runs. The brunt of the bowling was borne by George Hawksworth and Gordon Belcher with 25 wickets at 20.80 and 21 at 14.90 respectively.
