Owing to the sodden state of the wicket a fresh pitch was prepared on the second day. For Dorset, Bolton’s 90, which was the only half-century of the match, contained 4 fours. Busk took 5 wickets for 44 runs in the Devon innings. For Devon Conde-Williams’s innings of 34 not out was the top score.
