The match between the two sides at The Oval in May had been drawn. In Kent’s second innings, Jennings scored 68 not out, the only half-century of the match. For the winners, Myers top-scored with 38 whilst Abel took 10 wickets for 49 runs in the match, including 6 for 9 in Kent’s first innings.
