Only four and a half hours of play was needed to complete the match on a soft pitch badly affected by heavy rainfall on the previous evening. White did the hat-trick in the second Norfolk innings, his victims being Cozens-Hardy, Thurgar and Page. Titchmarsh top- scored in the match with 33, containing 4 fours.
