Rain limited play to 2½ hours on the first day, and an hour on the second. There were several interruptions on the first day and no play between lunch and 4.35 pm, and heavy rain halted play before 6.00 pm. On the second day play was stopped half an hour before lunch. After an early lunch had been taken, rain continued to fall heavily and the match was abandoned at 2.00 pm. For Cheshire there were 5 fours in Rigby’s 50.
