The match between the two sides at Jesmond in June had been drawn. For the winners, there were 8 fours and 9 fours respectively in Adamson’s two innings of 55 and 59. Proud’s 64 contained 10 fours, and Turnbull’s 52 5 fours . In the Durham first innings, Bewick and Morris added 73 runs for the eighth wicket.
