The 24 maidens bowled by White in the match equalled the highest of the season. For Norfolk, Gibson took 8 wickets for 46 runs in the Hertfordshire first innings, which included the hat-trick, his victims being Titchmarsh, Marsh and P W R Doll. In the Norfolk first innings, Dunell acted as substitute for Golding, who had split a finger, and caught Stevens.
