For the winners, there were 6 fours and 2 fives and 7 fours respectively in Titchmarsh’s two innings of 63 and 76 not out. The 24 maidens bowled by White in the match equalled the highest of the season. For Norfolk, Gibson took 8 wickets for 46 runs in the Hertfordshire first innings, which included the hat-trick, his victims being Titchmarsh, Marsh and P W R Doll. In the Norfolk first innings, Dunell acted as substitute for Golding, who had split a finger, and caught Stevens.
