The Berkshire declaration set Glamorgan a second innings victory target of 233 runs in shortly over 3 hours. The match between the two sides at Cardiff in July had also been won by Glamorgan. For the winners, there were 14 fours, 6 threes and 3 twos in Bancroft’s 105, scored in 110 minutes. His 61 in the Glamorgan second innings included 9 fours and he reached his 50 in just over 20 minutes. Sweet- Escott’s 50 contained 4 fours. Creber took 10 wickets in the match for 202 runs, including 8 for 69 in the Berkshire first innings.
