Fo r the winners, Raikes’s 112 contained 16 fours, 5 threes and 11 twos, scored in 2¼ hours. Raikes also took 10 wickets in the match for 117 runs. There were 13 fours in Barratt’s 92. In the Norfolk innings, Barratt and Raikes added 152 runs for the third wi cket. For the losers, J F Marsh’s 50 included 7 fours. Newspaper reports state that overnight rain had made the wicket “rather tricky” on the second da y. Raikes’s feat of scoring one hundred runs and taking ten wickets in the match was the second best all -round performance of the season.
