The match between the two sides at Ipswich the previous week had been won by Suffolk. For the winners, Raikes scored 79 not out with 10 fours and Dunning 51. In the Norfolk second innings, Raikes and Barratt had an unbroken stand of 62 runs in 27 minutes for the fifth wicket. Worman took 9 wickets in the match for 68 runs. His 28 maidens in the match were the equal second highest of the season. For Suffolk, Mustard’s 49 included 8 fours.
