For Glamorgan, there were 11 fours a nd 9 twos in Riches’s 109, scored in 160 minutes. In the Glamorgan innings, Riches and Bancroft put on 102 runs for the second wicket. The match between the two sides at Jesmond earlier in June had also been drawn. When he had scored 58 in the Glamorgan innings, Riches reached the career milestone of one thousand runs in championship matches.
