The Norfolk declaration left Hertfordshire 2 hours to score 321 runs. For the visitors, there were 14 fours, 7 threes and 11 twos in Penn’s 133, an innings of 170 minutes. Leman’s 72 not ou t contained 9 fours and Starling’s 64 included 6 fours. In the Norfolk first innings, Starling and Smith added 68 runs for th e last wicket in 35 minutes.
