For Surrey 2 nd XI, Moulder top-scored with 47 including 5 fours. Garrett and Meads added 58 runs for the seventh wicket in the Surrey innings. In the Glamorgan innings, E W Bale fielded as the substitute for Gooder, who was injured, and caught Cameron. A Gibson was originally selected to play for Glamorgan but, as he had not reached the ground, the Surrey captain agreed to him being replaced by R H Johnson. A player named Gill acted as substitute fielder until Johnson arrived.
