The match between the two teams at the Bedford County School at the start of the month had been won by Durham. For the winners, there was 1 six and 8 fours in Morcom’s 68 and 4 fours in Rice’s 51. In the Bedfordshire second innings, they put on 91 runs for the seventh wicket, and Rice and Moss added 57 for the eighth wicket. For the home side, Elliot’s 65 included 10 fours and Prince’s 55 contained 6 fours.
