For the winners, Hayward took 11 wickets in the match for 43 runs, including 9 for 33 in the second innings, which was statistically the best innings bowling performance of the season. Gray took 9 for 80, including 8 for 39 in the first innings. In the Cambridgeshire second innings, Pigg and Gray put on 50 runs for the seventh wicket. For Staffordshire, Moore took 10 wickets in the match for 111 runs. Page top-scored with 45. In the Staffordshire second innings, Page and Beddows added 71 runs for the sixth wicket, which was the second highest partnership for that wicket during the season.
