Rain stopped play in the morning session on the first day and it was not resumed until 3.25 pm. Then a heavy thunderstorm at 4.05 pm after the close of the Glamorgan innings prevented the start of the Monmouthshire innings. On the second day a new pitch was prepared, but there was no play until 5.00 pm. Tatham’s 50 not out for the home side was the only score of fifty and over in the match. When the sides had met at Cardiff in June, the match had also been drawn.
