Press reports suggest that Orr delayed the declaration to allow T A Brown to reach his century which prevented Bedfordshire winning. For the visitors, there were 15 fours, 1 three and 1 two in T A Brown’s 101 not out, an innings of 1 hour and 40 minutes. In the Bedfordshire second innings T A Brown and Moss added 90 runs for the seventh wicket, which was the second highest partnership for that wicket during the season.
