For the winners, Houchin on his debut took 9 wickets in the match for 110 runs. Wright’s 69.2 overs and 31 maidens bowled in the match were both second highest totals of the season. Partridge’s 63 for Norfolk contained 7 fours. Norfolk were handicapped by the non-appearance of McCormick and attempts to obtain another Norfolk player to replace him ended in failure, even though several were wired overnight. In addition, Shore could not bowl in either Buckinghamshire innings.
