For the winners, Houchin on his debut took 9 wickets in the match for 110 runs. Wright’s 69.2 overs and 31 maidens bowled in the match were both second highest totals of the season. Partridge’s 63 for Norfolk contained 7 fours. Norfolk were handicapped by the non-appearance of McCormick and attempts to obtain another Norfolk player to replace him ended in failure, even though several were wired overnight.
