A further meeting was held in the pavilion at Lord’s on Wednesday 20 March to confirm the proposed arrangements and to select the umpires for the 1901 season. Those present, apart from F E Lacey, were W O Nares (Berkshire), P J de Paravicini (Buckinghamshire), W B Hebenden (representing Devon), Dr J Earl Norman (Hertfordshire); F G Buxton (Norfolk), T Horton (Northamptonshire); A M Miller (Wiltshire) and R H Mallett (Durham and Hon Secretary).
