Requiring 97 runs for victory in their second innings in two hours, Surrey 2 nd XI won by nine wickets shortly before 6.00pm on the second day. For the victors, Wilson scored 79, A Baker 71 and Penfold 56 not out. In the Surrey first innings, Walker and Penfold put on 55 runs for the seventh wicket. For Bedfordshire, T A Brownís 97 was the top score in the match and included 12 fours and 8 threes. A collection was taken for him that yielded over £4.
