A E Cheales top-scored for Lincolnshire with 79, while Skrimshire made Norfolk’s highest score with 83. Norfolk’s 179-7 wickets was the highest fourth innings total of the season. Raikes was permitted by Buxton, the Norfolk Captain, to withdraw from the match after the first day in order to play for Oxford University against Kent at Maidstone. He went on to win his Blue.
