Over 2,000 spectators were estimated to have attended on the first day. W F Whitwell took 10 wickets for 37 runs in the match, including 8 for 18 in the Lincolnshire second innings. For the visitors, Broadbent took 7 for 41 in the Durham first innings. The run aggregate of 304 was the third lowest of the season for a completed match.
