Minor Counties Championship 1895

10 Michael Pearce , who has done much detailed researching at Colindale, commented on drafts of the book, and generously stood in to check the Wiltshire scores and averages in the absence of a county statistician for that county; Tony Percival , who has not only helped with the two counties for which he is the county statistician, but also been a major source of practical support and encouragement; Mick Pope, who has designed the cover; Kevin Preston , who devoted much time and effort in the first year of the project to preparing a list of championship matches and results covering each season and each of the 40 or so teams involved in the competition; The late Ken Trushell , who was the Association’s ‘guru’ on minor county matters, had helped set up the project, and whose advice and guidance has been much missed since he died in April 2001; and Peter Wynne-Thomas , who has been a keen supporter of the project from the beginning, has recognised the nature of the task involved in researching the scores, and has been one of the main enthusiasts in seeking that the results of our labours are published by the ACS. Most thanks of all to my wife Anne , who has so generously not complained of the many days and evenings I have spent working on the project in general and this book in particular. We are always on the lookout for additional help from those not currently involved. Any reader who has some spare time and would like to help is invited to make contact. Finally, it is my responsibility as editor to try to ensure mistakes are avoided. Where I have failed, could these kindly be brought to my attention.
