Between 1860 and 1880, batsmen were dismissed in most English seasons at an average of between 15 and 18 runs per wicket. In his career as a whole, Daft was dismissed 191 times caught (50%), 131 times bowled (34%), 23 times run out (6%), 18 times stumped (5%), 13 times lbw (3%) and nine times hit wicket (2%). He retired hurt twice. The three bowlers who took his wicket most often were W.G.Grace 23, W.Caffyn 18 and T.Emmett 16.
