Lives in Cricket No 52 - Schooled in Cricket (2nd edition)
13 has helped me too. Mark Rowe at the Association of Cricket Statisticians and Historians will be doing much before this book hits the shelves and all the work done by him and others at the ACS is voluntary and unpaid. My friend Terry Simpson has acted as my writing mentor and has provided invaluable help and support. I have wanted to write well and encouragement from Terry as well as from that wonderful cricket writer Stephen Chalke have been invaluable in my efforts. Andrew Stoddart renewed my interest in the statistics of a first-class cricketer and caused me to re-write that aspect. So many others, my friend Owen Turner, Tony Goodall, Rupert Jones, Adele Hanna, countless others – some of whom will come flooding back to me no doubt as soon as I have gone to print ... thanks to all of you!
